ALUMINIUM HEAT TREATMENT FURNACES

Mould Heating Furnace;

Mould Heating Furnace heats aluminium extrussion moulds to 400 450°C before they are attached to the press.

Aluminium Billet-Chump Heating Furnace;

These furnaces are used for heating aluminium billets to 400 - 450° C quickly before being loaded to press machine. Heated billet makes extrussion process easier, but deformates the look of the surface of product. High-temperature extrussion abrades the mould and causes shagginess on the product. But if the billet is cool the press becomes so hard and the mould gets too much pressure although extrussion product's surface has no deformation. Extrussion temperature must be chosen so carefully for best quality.

Homogenisation Furnace;

Homogenisation Furnace is used for after-casting aluminium logs to be heated to 550-600ºC for homogenating particuls of these logs. Homogenisated aluminium billets are a lot more easy to extruse and better quality than the ones are not homogeneus.
